A large poured-concrete basement under a wide Oklahoma sky

Oklahoma City · Custom poured concrete · Since 1969

Built, not brought.

We pour custom storm shelters, safe rooms and basements on site across Oklahoma City and the surrounding region. We have been building these structures since 1969, with high-grade concrete reinforced by fiber and steel rebar.

What we pour

Choose the structure that fits your property, your family, and the space you want to keep useful between storms.

Three ways to build protection below or above the ground.

01

Below ground / poured in place

Storm Shelters

Our below-ground shelters are poured in place, including the Patio Top Storm Shelter, where the shelter becomes your patio slab.

Above ground / residential + commercial

Safe Rooms

Our above-ground safe rooms are poured concrete structures that can double as a vault or panic room. Brick-faced options blend into the house.

03

Custom / residential + commercial

Basements

We build custom residential and commercial basements, including walkout basements, a rare option in Oklahoma.

The difference

A factory box starts with a shipping limit. We start with your property. Our shelters are poured from high-grade concrete reinforced with fiber and steel rebar, then built to stay with the structure around them.

Poured on site vs. hauled in on a truck

Our build

Concrete that stays with the property.

  • +High-grade concrete, fiber and steel rebar
  • +Any size or shape that fits the property
  • +Built on site instead of hauled in
  • +Lifetime structural warranty
  • +Space that can work as a room between storms

A factory box

Started with a truck's dimensions.

  • Factory-made box brought in on a truck
  • Limited to the dimensions the truck can carry
  • Separate from the home and its long-term plan
  • Less room for the property-specific layout
  • A single-purpose space between storms

Every shelter surpasses all FEMA standards and carries a lifetime structural warranty. Underground shelters are priced at $100 per square foot or less.

The Patio Top Storm Shelter

Your patio can be the shelter

With our Patio Top Storm Shelter, the shelter is your patio slab. We pour the structure below the surface, so the space above it can stay useful every day: patio furniture, a grill, a play area, or whatever fits your home.

Our story

Four generations against the Oklahoma sky

In the 1930s, a group of Oklahoma basement, concrete and home contractors joined forces against the state's weather. Four generations later, we are one of the Midwest's established patio-top shelter builders. We have been pouring tornado shelters since 1969, with work installed from Texas to North Dakota.

Between storms, you can use a shelter as a craft room, exercise room or home theater. When the sky turns, it is there as part of the plan.

Questions worth asking

Concrete answers before the weather turns.

01Are Aaron's storm shelters poured on site?

Yes. We build on site from high-grade concrete reinforced with fiber and steel rebar, rather than bringing a finished prefab box in on a truck.

02What is the Patio Top Storm Shelter?

It is a below-ground shelter poured beneath a patio slab. The slab stays useful as a patio between storms, while the room below provides shelter when needed.

03Do you build above-ground safe rooms?

Yes. We build residential and commercial above-ground safe rooms. Brick-faced options can blend into the house, and a room can double as a vault or panic room.

04How do we start?
